New York Jets star Sauce Gardner wrote on social media Tuesday that those criticism him for his remarks about Jewish people took it the “wrong way” and he meant what he said “to be a good thing.”
Gardner appeared on a livestream with popular personality Adin Ross on Monday. He responded to Ross, who is Jewish, getting the Tesla Cybertruck from another Jewish man by saying, “You all run the world.” After backlash, he appeared to defend his remarks on X.
” I love all people; Including Jewish people,” he wrote. “The majority of my agency/marketing team are Jewish and I talk to them almost everyday. You probably just took what I said the wrong way but what I said was meant to be a good thing.”

Gardner was met with laughter and more analysis about those who are Jewish. Ross then tried to defend everyone who was talking about it.
“I’mma tell y’all the truth. First of all, everyone here is allowed to speak about Jews because I’m gonna give everyone the Jew pass,” Ross said. “Y’all are observing. I’m not offended.”
Ross said he wasn’t offended by the comments, but Gardner was criticized on X for the remarks.
The Jets didn’t immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
